In this session, Dr. Hart will discuss her research on the psychosocial factors influencing gynecologic cancer risk management decision-making in women with Lynch syndrome. Lynch syndrome is the most common type of inherited colorectal and endometrial cancer syndrome. Dr. Hart will talk about the unmet informational needs of participants when making gynecologic cancer risk management decisions, as well as their experiences in the healthcare system. Recommendations for improvements in gynecologic health care as suggested by study participants will also be discussed. This will be an opportunity to learn about the issues facing women who have an inherited (i.e., genetic) cancer syndrome.
