This is an introductory education session exploring how naturopathic principles can support people affected by cancer. The session covers evidence-informed complementary approaches, lifestyle strategies, and collaborative care, empowering participants with foundational knowledge to make informed, integrative health decisions.
 

Presenter: Dr. Jill Shainhouse

Dr. Shainhouse has been in practice for over 20 yrs and has a focus exclusive to supportive cancer care. She is the Clinic Director and Owner of Insight Naturopathic Clinic in Toronto and was the Co- Founder of the Adjunctive Cancer Care Program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.  She continues to supervise interns at Sunnybrook Hospital’s Louise Termerty Breast Cancer Centre. Her goal as a naturopathic doctor with a focus in cancer care is to bridge the gap between the conventional and naturopathic schools of thought to provide the most comprehensive care for patients who are currently undergoing or who have completed cancer treatments.
