This workshop session offers practical guidance to help individuals and families approach these choices with clarity and confidence. Participants will learn how to prepare for cancer treatment decision making appointments, identify key questions to ask, and engage in meaningful conversations with their care teams.

Audience: Adults living with cancer, adult caregivers for people living with cancer, support professionals seeking tools for compassionate, informed decision-making during cancer care.
 
Presenter: Lisa Malinowski Kamran, MSW, RSW
 
Lisa (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW), Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200), and Mindfulness Educator. Her grounded and compassionate energy fosters welcoming and inclusive spaces for individuals to be seen and heard.
With a diverse professional background, Lisa leverages her Bachelor's in Hospitality Business, Master’s in Social Work, and a decade of contemplative practice studies to attune to the unique needs of each person.
Her work has offered her the opportunity to be part of equitable health initiatives in Flint, Michigan, in response to the Flint Water Crisis, and to provide mindfulness and mental health support across Canada and the U.S.
Now based in Toronto, Lisa serves as the Membership and Outreach Coordinator at Gilda’s Toronto, supporting individuals and families impacted by cancer.
