When cancer enters a family’s life, one of the hardest questions becomes: How do I tell my child?

This Parenting Through Cancer Workshop is designed to help equip parents, guardians, and caregivers with practical, age-appropriate strategies for talking with children about a cancer diagnosis. Whether it's your diagnosis or a loved one’s, this workshop offers guidance on what to say, when to say it, and how to create a safe, supportive space for children’s thoughts and questions through the cancer experience.

Through expert insight, real-life scenarios, and shared discussion with other families navigating a similar path, participants will gain tools to approach these conversations with confidence and compassion.

Together, we’ll explore how honest communication can become a powerful bridge, fostering trust, resilience, and emotional well-being in your family.

This Careful Steps parenting workshop, is a supportive program offering psychosocial guidance and a place to connect with other families impacted by cancer.
